Covid-19 Lateral Flow Tests are now available to collect from Leyes Lane Pharmacy.
These tests are for individuals who are not displaying symptoms of Covid-19, so they can undertake regular testing as part of the Government’s Covid-19 roadmap plan.
With up to a third of infected individuals not displaying symptoms, asymptomatic testing is an essential part of the nation’s fight against COVID-19, and by identifying positive cases we can break the chain of transmission in the community.
Lateral Flow Tests are provided free of charge, and are available to everyone.
Each box of Covid-19 Lateral Flow Tests available to collect contains seven tests, to allow an individual to test themselves twice weekly over a three-week period.
Covid-19 Lateral Flow Tests should be administered away from the pharmacy, and instructions on how to use the test and report your results are inside the box.
It is important to report your results, whether positive or negative. This helps the NHS identify areas where asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 are rising and declining so we can all keep each other safe. When you report your result, you will be provided with information on the next steps you may need to take.
Please note, a negative result does not guarantee you do not have Covid-19, and it’s important to continue following government guidelines and restrictions.
